In fashion, as in much of life, things change with the waxing and waning of the seasons. Success is but a fleeting temptress, and your fortunes can quickly change in not just a year, in not just a month, but in weeks and days even.
Sportswear company Nike is certainly feeling the blues. The corporate has announced plans to slash circa 1400 jobs, and re-haul its product lines. It aims to increasingly pin-point its focus on the global megacities where much of its sales occur: think London, New York and Shanghai.
At the same time, Adidas is seeing a resurgence in its fortunes. Sources say that this may be due to the comeback of retro athleisure which bodes well for Adidas’ range of footwear in that range. Retail company Puma is also drawing similar benefits in this arena.
To finish off, stay cool and sweat it out in your carefully-curated gym ensemble.
